George Wilbur Warren 85, of Littleton, died Sunday afternoon, May 1, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

George was born and raised in the Corinth Community to the late Claude Sessoms and Nettie Reid Warren. He was a faithful member of Bear Swamp Baptist Church and retired as a plant manager at J.P. Stevens after 30 years of service. He served his Country in the United States Air Force.

Besides his parents, George was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Patsy Ward Warren. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Jr., Alton and Albert Warren; his sister, Francis Warren; brother-in-law, Nathan Gay; and sisters-in-law, Sarah and Martha Warren.

George will be remembered for his enduring faith, his dedication to Christ's church, and his love and devotion to his family.

George is survived his daughter, Charlotte Lewis and her husband Dick of Morehead City; sons, Steve Warren and his wife Ellen of Rocky Mount, and Tim Warren and his wife Sarah of Raleigh; six grandchildren, Corey Lewis and his wife Sarah, Ward Warren and his wife Emily, Allison Hodges and her husband Chris, Reid Warren, Garrett Warren, and Erin Warren; five great-grandchildren; sister Faye Gay of Clinton; special niece Diane Warren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend ,Virginia Lynch.

The family would like to thank the staff at Nash Day Hospital for the wonderful care that they gave to George these past five years. Your love and attention will be something that will always be remembered and something for which we are eternally grateful.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, which are handling the arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Bear Swamp Baptist Church, with Rev. Howard Guidry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.
